Roehl OO featured in GI Jobs | 2017-03 March | Roehl Transport Blog
Roehl Transport driving teammate, Dennis Rellins, was recently profiled in the February 2017 issue of GI Jobs magazine.
The profile appeared in a section of the magazine called "Industry Intel: Trucking". Dennis was a company driver with Roehl who then became an owner operator partnering with Roehl. He is also a certified truck driver trainer. Dennis served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1991 – 2011.
GI Jobs magazine offers career advice and tools to help transitioning military members find the right jobs, education, and vocational training during and after leaving the military.
Dennis completed our two-year military apprenticeship program. In the profile, he noted that he used his GI Bill monies to help pay for CDL trucking driving school (though Roehl also offers paid cdl truck driver training). Our program also allows eligible military veterans the opportunity to collect their GI Bill monies while completing their apprenticeship, and we'll help with the military skills (CDL) test waiver.
GI Jobs is published and distributed to service members through the military’s mandatory Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The article notes that truck driving jobs offer many pathways to personal and professional goals, a sentiment echoed in the article by Lucas Heart, Roehl's Marketing & Communications Manager, who said, "Our training and resources allow veterans to be their best and help them pursue their career objectives.”
Driver Success is on Roehl's Wall of Values - we provide responsiveness, care and solutions to help drivers meet professional and personal goals. We're proud of Dennis's successes and are glad to be partnering with his business.
Roehl has been named a Military Friendly Employer every year since 2013. Learn more about the Roehl Honor Program and the training and benefits we provide to US military veterans, as well as owner operator jobs.
