Roehl Wins Pet Inclusive Infrastructure Award from Human Animal Bond Research Institute

Roehl Transport has won the Innovation Award in the Pet Inclusive Infrastructure category from the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI).

The Pet-Inclusive Infrastructure category recognizes companies, organizations, or institutions purposefully developing transportation, architecture, policies or environments to safeguard and strengthen the human-animal bond. We were recognized for “creating a pioneering framework that enables drivers to maintain the companionship of their pets while working on the road. Through its Pet Passport Program and dedicated pet-friendly facilities, Roehl has integrated the human-animal bond into workplace design, improving quality of life for drivers and setting a model for the transportation industry, making it a deserving winner of this year’s Pet-Inclusive Infrastructure Award,” the HABRI announcement noted.

Roehl Transport understands that pets are an important part of the lives of millions of people - including many truck drivers. While Roehl has many home daily and home weekly truck driving jobs, life on the road for truck drivers can mean spending extended time away from family and friends. Roehl recognized that a pet can provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support during those times.

That understanding inspired Roehl to launch the Pet Passport Program in 2015.
