Curtainside

Job Overview

Our Curtainside Fleet trailers allow you to enjoy unique flatbed freight without much of the physical labor – no tarping!

In our over the road Curtainside Fleet, you’ll haul freight across 48 states and Canada.

With Curtainside, you are able to secure and protect the customer’s freight with much less physical demand than traditional tarping. Arrive at the customer, load the freight, secure the freight, then slide the curtains closed and away you go.

As you see the nation, you’ll also see many different shippers and locations.

Updated Pay Plan! Ask about our new sliding mileage scale!

If you live in parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana, you'll have the opportunity to get home most weeks.  If not, you'll be home three days after being out 11-14, and if you stay out longer, you'll get even more time at home.

Video: About Roehl's Curtainside National Over-the-Road Fleet

Roehl Transport's Curtainside National fleet is perfect for drivers who like the physical nature of hauling flatbed freight but do not want to tarp loads. The curtainside trailer means you secure your load, close the curtains and head off to make your deivery.

Eligibility

  • Class A drivers with at least four months of recent driving experience. Some fleets may require 6 months or even a year of experience to join. Have a CDL, but no recent experience? Check out the Roehl Relaunch Program™!
  • Recent graduates of a CDL school who are inexperienced and want on-the-job training.

Address-to-Address Mileage Calculations

Once again, Roehl leads the trucking industry in mileage pay calculations with practical route address-to-address mileage calculations. Address to address practical route miles have the advantages of using the practical route and the actual starting and ending address for a load. As a result, these mileage calculations more accurately reflect the miles Roehl drivers have driven on each load.

Career Opportunities

Roehl offers career paths for all levels of truck driving experience. Whether you want to change your division or fleet or work outside of a truck in a non-driving job, our trucking company size means options to find the career opportunity that works for you. For example, many van and refrigerated truck drivers decide to use our additional paid training to become flatbed drivers. Others choose our curtainside fleets that offer a mix of flatbed and dry van work. Other truck drivers find that our HOMEtime PLUS fleets, which offer the industry's best mix of home time and regular driving schedules, meet their needs. And, we have dedicated fleets that offer many unique schedule, pay and freight options as well as local truck driving jobs and home daily positions in some areas. Want to become a trucking company owner? We have a lease purchase option in our Owner Operator Program. You can also become a Certified Driver Trainer or an instructor. Just starting out in trucking? Get tuition-free CDL training in our on-the-job truck driver training program. As you can see, your career path with Roehl is filled with options!

Benefits

From top pay and home time to a comprehensive benefits package, our truck driving jobs provide you and your family security and peace of mind. Our exceptional benefits are both affordable and comprehensive, and in addition to health, dental, vision and life insurances, they include things that add to your truck driving income like getting practical route miles, paid vacation and referral bonuses. About Roehl's Sliding Mileage Scale Pay Plans & Accident Free Pay

We recently introduced sliding mileage scale pay plans for many fleets. Our sliding pay scale rewards you for your time, not just the miles you drive! Learn more about you can take home more with Roehl!
