Common Questions About Our Paid CDL Training Program

Q. Is this program for real?
A. Yes. This is one of the most frequently asked questions we receive. We created the Get Your CDL Program™ because we need truck drivers to move our customers' freight. Largely due to the massive retirements of the Baby Boomer generation, the demand for truck drivers in America will continue to increase dramatically over the next ten years, and that makes truck driving a very stable career choice. Our company sponsored cdl training program connects you with skills you can use to improve your professional and personal life and helps us continue to grow our business.

Q. What's the catch?
A. Because we spend a lot of money and invest heavily in you, we ask for your commitment in exchange for the value of our program. The value of the training is in effect a loan to you – a loan you’ll never have to pay back as long as you simply complete the training and work as a heavy duty truck driver for us for the 15 months after your training. We ask for your formalized agreement and you can be sure we’re promising to hold up our end of the deal as well.

Q. Is this a truck driving school?
A. No. Our Get Your CDL program offers training as part of your job. If you were to go to a truck driving school, you would not be paid and you'd have come up with the tuition for the school. Our program is a job. We pay you while we train you to get your CDL. Then, we continue to pay you as you complete your on the job training as a professional truck driver.

Q. Can I go to a truck driving school and still drive for Roehl?
A. Yes. While you would not be eligible for our Get Your CDL Program™, you can certainly attend a different cdl training program and then come to Roehl as a truck driver. We have and continue to work with many truck driving schools, offering their cdl students our excellent on the job truck driver training

What we’re doing for you is worth a lot so we expect your signature and agreement that you’ll hold up your end of the deal. You can be sure we’re promising to hold up our end of the deal as well. You’ll complete the deal, work for us by driving 120,000 miles and there’s no cost to you for the program. The Benefits of Getting Your CDL Class A

A lot of starry eyed dreamers think about how cool it would be to be a truck driver. It is a cool job. You see the country and haul the stuff that makes the nation go. We work for all of the top brand names from washing machines and lawn mowers to consumer goods to the big steel, lumber and building products.

Also keep in mind it is a job. You’re not a tourist. A truck driver does trip and route planning, is a customer service representative, manages interactions and reactions to the motorists all around to ensure safety, secures the freight, administers trip documentation, inspects the vehicle and makes routine adjustments and corrections and much much more. This is hard work. This is a real American job. And for many, it's a job that leads to a middle class lifestyle - a more stable future for you and your family. So it's important to be prepared.

Maybe the most difficult aspect of the work is separation from family and friends. You should plan to be working away from home 7-10 days at a time. You’ll need to have a solid plan with your spouse or significant others in your life so you can handle that separation.

Your truck is your home when you’re on the road. You will live and work out of your truck, which you can outfit with some of the same appliances, entertainment and comforts you’re accustomed to at home. We also make a commitment each time you come to work on when you’ll be back home, so your friends and family will know when to welcome you back.

It’s hard work and like anything that puts sweat on your brow it brings great rewards. TeamRoehl drivers average weekly earnings of $900 to $1,250 every week!

Earning your CDL is the first step to becoming a professional truck driver. Choosing the right CDL training program that will meet your needs from among all the cdl training schools will ensure that you get the skills you need to succeed in your new driving career. With our company paid cdl training program, you'll get your commercial drivers license, and you'll open the door to many new possibilities, including:
