2015-11-10 Roehl is Military Friendly Employer for third straight year

Marshfield, WI – For the third consecutive year, Roehl Transport has earned the Military Friendly Employer® designation by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazines. 

Roehl received the recognition by completing a data-driven survey that was independently tested by Ernst & Young. Criteria for the survey included a benchmark score across key programs and policies, such as the strength of company military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

And, for those who are transitioning from active duty and need training, Roehl’s developed the Get Your CDL Program – a truck driver job with paid CDL training. The fact that the job that pays the employee while they get their CDL is a unique difference when compared with company sponsored truck driver training. 

Roehl also has a two-year Apprenticeship Program (approved by both the Department of Labor and the Department of Veterans Affairs) that provides advanced training, earns those that complete the program certification as a Heavy Duty Truck Driver and allows those in the program the opportunity to take advantage of their GI Bill monies. 

Koepel summed up the significance of the award by saying, “We recently won trucking’s top honor, the ATA President’s Award. That’s like winning trucking’s equivalent of an Oscar. The Military Friendly Employer designation means our leadership extends outside of our industry and places us among some of most elite employers in the country.”
