Roehl Transport, Inc and TeamRoehl established a scholarship program to assist employees, employees’ children and grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. The TeamRoehl scholarship program offers Scholarship(s) for full-time or part-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered and managed by the Roehl Transport, Inc’s Charitable Governance Committee. The scholarship program applicants will not be discriminated on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, age, nation of origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or military status.

Eligibility:
  • Be an employee of Roehl, Transport, Inc or Roehl logistics, Inc. OR a child, stepchild, or grandchild under the age of 24 of an employee of Roehl Transport, Inc or Roehl Logistics, Inc.
  • Be a high school senior, graduate, GED, or current postsecondary undergraduate, who plans to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational program for the upcoming academic year.
  • Submit proof of enrollment or letter of intent with application.
  • Complete mail in or online application by the deadlines.

Funding:
  • The scholarship programs funding is supported by contributions from members of TeamRoehl. At the end of the fundraising campaign, Roehl Transport, Inc will contribute up to the same amount raised from the TeamRoehl contributions earned during the campaign.  
Selection/Award:
  • The applications submitted will be reviewed by the impartial committee. The committee members will individually review applications for proof of eligibility and complete a rubric for each application to qualify the application to be a finalist. All applicants that are selected as finalists will be reviewed by the committee to determine placement and award value. Not all finalists are guaranteed an award. All applicants selected to be a recipient will be notified.
Payment:
  1. The selected recipient(s) will receive the scholarship funding post completion of a verification process. The verification process will be completed when the recipient provides the committee any one of the following items:  Unofficial Transcript, Course Schedule, or Receipt of Tuition Expense. Checks will be made out to and sent directly to the recipient and not to the institution.

The TeamRoehl Scholarship committee is excited to introduce the Fall 2023 TeamRoehl Scholarship recipients. Please help us congratulate the following individuals:

 

Evan Biesterveld (son of Eric Biesterveld)

Evan is attending the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in the fall of 2023. He served as the President of the school’s Student Library Advisory Board and volunteered as a tutor at a local community center, assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds in developing basic computer literacy skills. Evan has a passion for technology, a desire for personal growth and development, and an aspiration to make a positive impact. Evan is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Nathaniel Karau (son of Susan Fischer)

Nathaniel is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. While in high school, Nathaniel was a 3-sport athlete participating in football, basketball, and track and field. He chose University of Wisconsin – Stout so he could continue as a collegiate

athlete and be a dedicated thrower for the UW-Stout Track & Field team. Sports have played a significant role in Nathaniel’s life, and he shared that he learned the value of leadership and teamwork while developing lifelong friendships. Nathaniel is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering.

Bethany Stoots (daughter of Robert Stoots)

Bethany is currently a student at Jacksonville State University. She graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA along with being in the National English Honor Society, National Athletic Honor Society, was involved with Student Government, and received the honor of being a Gold Award and Red Coat Award recipient for her community involvement. Bethany is pursuing her Bachelor of Social Work.

 

We wish the recipients and applicants the best of luck and hope for their success in their futures! Recipients and applicants are eligible to apply for the 2024 Spring Scholarship in October.
