  • To donate, complete the TeamRoehl Help Fund form on this page.
  • If you need financial assistance please read the Eligibility Requirements below to ensure you qualify and then complete the Crisis Fund Application and email it to HelpFund@Roehl.net. Your request will then be reviewed by the Help Fund Committee for consideration.
  • Click here for the Crisis Fund Application.

TeamRoehl Help Fund Summary and Purpose:
The TeamRoehl Help Fund is designed to help TeamRoehl employees and their immediate families in emergency crisis situations such as national disasters, medical expenses related to a critical illness or major accident.

The Help Fund was established in 2008 and since then, we've been able to provide assistance to the families of over 500 TeamRoehl teammates totaling over $450,000.

We encourage you to contribute to the Help Fund through payroll deduction as little as .25 cents per week can go a long way toward helping your teammates in their time of need.

Contributions to the Help Fund are not tax deductible because they are restricted donations to Roehl employees and considered to be "donor-advised" funds.

Eligibility Requirements;
  • The person requesting assistance must be a Roehl employee and must have been actively employed for at least 90 days prior to the request.
  • The financial request must be for emergencies and crisis situations involving critical health illness, injury or a catastrophic event for the employee and their immediate family members (spouse and dependent children). Other qualifying family emergencies will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • The Help Fund does not provide assistance for non-emergency situations such as general financial hardships. Each employee is limited to assistance from the fund a maximum of two times.
Financial Assistance Guidelines:

Here are situations in which financial assistance is available for Roehl employees for various emergency situations. The committee, based on knowledge they receive from the Crisis Fund Application form, will make a determination of critical emergency need and level of assistance available for each situation. Situations that qualify for consideration include:

  • Medical expenses related to an accident or serious injury
  • Medical expenses related to a critical illness or injury
  • Medical expenses and untimely death of an employee or their immediate family member
  • Fire
  • Natural Disaster
  • Other qualifying emergency or crisis will be considered on a case by case basis
Once an application is received and all questions have been answered, the committee will make every effort to mail to the employee’s home either an acceptance or denial letter within five business days. If accepted, an acceptance letter will be mailed and the funds will be deposited to the employee's account that is currenlty set up for payroll.  A denied applicant may reapply if their situation or circumstances have worsened.  The committee holds final authority to approve or disapprove any request and amount.

Program Funding:

Funding for this program will come from the following sources:

  • Employees may contribute a minimum of 25 cents from each weekly payroll check
  • Cash donations from employees
  • Profits from all company vending machines
  • Proceeds from all recycled aluminum from all Roehl terminals
  • Miscellaneous fund raising events

Employee Confidentiality:
All TeamRoehl Employee Help Fund committee members will be entrusted with personal, confidential information of fellow employees. It is of utmost importance that this confidentiality of medical and personal information be respected as it is considered for financial assistance. Each request must be signed by the employee, giving the committee permission to review the information and proceed for approval. The information on the request should at no time be discussed with anyone other than a fellow committee member or the applicant.

Internal Controls:
Two committee member signatures are required on each check drawn on the fund’s bank account. Checks may not be made payable to committee members. The monthly bank reconciliation will be prepared independently of the TeamRoehl Help Fund committee by an individual in Roehl Transport’s finance department.

Questions and Ongoing Support:

Committee members will be available during business hours to answer your questions or concerns regarding the TeamRoehl Help Fund program. There can be exceptions to any rule and if you feel an employee has a legitimate request which doesn’t fit these guidelines the committee can be asked to consider exceptional requests. Feel free to contact any of the following committee members at (715) 591-3795.
