Stress Management
What is stress exactly? Stress is the body’s response to a challenge or demand. When you feel stressed your heart rate and blood pressure increase, you experience fear and anger emotions, and you have thoughts and personal beliefs about the stressor. There is positive and negative stress. Positive stress can come from life changes such as getting a promotion, having a baby, or exercise. Stress becomes negative when we are exposed for a long period of time, causing metal health difficulties, or increased physical health. No one can avoid stress, but you can work to handle it in healthy ways.
Everyone is different in the way they cope with stress. That is why you need to try a couple different ways to reduce your stress to find the best one that works for you. There are negative ways to deal with stress, being alcohol, using tobacco products, and eating an excessive amount of food.
