Joseph (Joe) Campbell has been named to the Top 10 in the 2019 Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence award campaign. Joe is a professional truck driver in Roehl Transport’s Flatbed Division.
The
Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence award is part of an overall effort to inspire the hiring of more veterans, national guard members, and reservists into the trucking industry. Trucking companies nominate deserving veterans who have made a successful transition from military service to the trucking industry.
Joe served 24 years in the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. He obtained his CDL in Roehl’s paid CDL training program (
Get Your CDL) in 2018. Roehl is one of the safest, most successful trucking companies in North America. Everett Roehl, himself a U.S. Army veteran, started the company in 1962 with a single truck. Roehl Transport has also been repeatedly named a
Military Friendly Employer by the publisher of
GI Jobs magazine.
Joe’s first year driving for Roehl has been highlighted by no preventable accidents, flawless service, and consistent availability for our customers. He enrolled in Roehl’s Apprentice Program, Driver Trainer Certification course, and was selected for Roehl’s Driver Advisory Group.
Sponsored by the Kenworth Truck Company, Hiring our Heroes and FASTPORT, Transition Trucking’s search for America’s top military rookie driver follows a year-long competition, culminating in the winner receiving an incredible head start to their entrepreneurial career – a Kenworth T680 truck.
Joe will attend the Great American Truck Show (GATS) in Dallas, Texas in August with the nine other Transition Trucking finalists (
see the complete 10 Ten list), where the Final 3 will be announced on stage. The winner will be revealed in December at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
