On Tuesday cheese lovers all over the United States (and the world) will celebrate the culinary delight because June 4th, 2019 is National Cheese Day. And at Roehl Transport, we're celebrating our long history of supporting the dairy industry as well as the recent accomplishment of Morgyn Haumschild, the daughter of Roehl's Laura Haumschild, a manager in our Driver Employment Center.

Morgyn Haumschild Wins WCMA Scholarship

Morgyn was recently awarded a $3,000 scholarship by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA). A member of 4-H, Future Farmers of America and the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association, Morgyn will attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls this fall. Morgyn will study dairy science in college. We are so proud of Morgyn and the honors she has achieved! Morgyn was recognized at the annual Cheese Industry Conference held in April in Madison, Wisconsin.

While Wisconsin didn't start out as America's Dairyland, the state is certainly now known as the Dairy State, and the WCMA (created in 1891) has helped Wisconsin cheesemakers, buttermakers and whey processors through advocacy, collaboration, education and competitions, and Roehl Transport is a member of the association.

Roeh Refrigerated and Cold Storage and Warehousing ad

Roehl has long supported the dairy industry by providing transportation solutions including refrigerated truckload services (hauling lots of cheese for dairies) and cold storage and warehousing, too. And, we offer excellent truck driving jobs in Wisconsin for experienced drivers who want to drive in and around the Dairy State. Roehl’s commitment to our value of Driver Success means drivers can expect responsiveness, care and solutions to help them achieve their professional and personal goals, and that includes plenty of home time – ranging from flexible time at home in our national fleets, to weekly home time in our regional fleets (like Van Midwest Regional) to even 26 weeks a year off in our HOMEtime PLUS Fleets. For those who do not already have a CDL, Roehl’s paid on-the-job CDL truck driver training job is simply the best way to start your professional truck driving career.

So the next time you enjoy cheese or any other dairy products, remember the vast number of people who helped bring those products to your table. From new students in dairy science like Morgyn Haumschild to the farmers to the dairies to transportation professionals, this cheese is for you!
