2018 Cruise for a Cause Update

2018 Cruise for a Cause Update Teaser
It was a great beginning to 2018 for Cruise for a Cause as not only did Ford let us keep our 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang that we were using but they provided us with a new 2019 Pre Production BULLITT Mustang.
Like many of the past years we started in Jefferson City, MO attending ShelbyFest, This was followed up by our first ever Madison and Fox Valley Area autocross at Noah’s Ark in the Dells.  It was a great event and all funds raised supported the cause.
Then we traveled to Dearborn, MI to pick up the new car which we delivered to and displayed at the Carlisle ALL Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA the first weekend of June.
Two weeks later for father’s day weekend I attended the Mid America Ford Nationals in Tulsa, OK.
I was able to take a few weeks off before parading all three cars in the Pittsville July 4th celebration prior to attending the Iola Old Car Show.
It was at the end of July that we displayed it at the EAA Fly In at Oshkosh before heading to Detroit in mid-August for the Woodward Dream Cruise and Mustang Memories Show in Dearborn, MI.
The end of August was really busy as I displayed at Hub City Days in Marshfield before  heading out to Sturgis, SD for the Mustang Rally over labor day weekend. Not much rest as I was back on the road in 2 days as I headed straight for Myrtle Beach, SC to be part of Mustang Week.
This of course brings me to a few weeks before our big event – Cruise for a Cause Fall Ford Fest in the Dells.
The weather has been a challenge lately but it was our biggest turn out yet!
We had participants from 12 states attend – as far away as AZ, MT and Manitoba Canada.
The total $ amount raised is still being tallied but it was a great year – I feel our best.
The Saturday night banquet seated 280 guests and we sold many great items as part of our auction.
Packer box seats, Prince and Paul McCartney signed guitars, a Caddy Shack movie poster signed by the stars including Bill Murray and Chevy Chase were a few.
In a few weeks I will be heading out to Las Vegas to attend the SEMA show to begin getting partnerships in place for our 2019 10th ANNIVERSARY TOUR.
I hope to make this a year that changes everything – including raffling off a car.  We have a 1979 Indy Pace Car that we plan to rebuild and auction off if we can get enough support to complete it by next spring?
I have attached a picture of the 2019 Bullitt and the artist rendering of the 79 we hope to have done.
I was informed in January of this year by the head of Mustang marketing that I (Cruise for a Cause) am a brand and they all know of what and how we are making a difference.
I see great things happening and do hope that those who started with us will continue in our Mission of Delivering Hope to Wherever we go and to all we meet.
Thank you to Roehl for being a great partner in our cause.
