Marshfield, WI – Blume Farms Land & Cattle has agreed to sell its Dorchester, Wisconsin refrigerated trucking operations to Roehl Transport effective May 5, 2007. Roehl will operate the 100+ unit fleet as Blume Refrigerated.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to enter the refrigerated truckload market with a solid customer base and proven driver base,” stated Rick Roehl, President and Chief Operating Officer of Roehl. “We hope to build upon the service reputation that Henry Blume, President of Blume Farms, has built over the years.
Blume Refrigerated will continue to operate from its terminal in Dorchester, Wisconsin.” Blume Refrigerated plans to grow its business and offer employment to nearly all the Blume Farms’ drivers and support staff. In addition, the company is actively seeking to hire additional professional drivers from the region and has established a driver recruitment answer line at 1-800-GO-ROEHL. Blume Farms will continue to own and operate its land and cattle interests in the Dorchester area.
