What You Need to Know About This Fleet
In this new dedicated fleet, you'll be part of a small group of drivers hauling no-touch freight with long length of haul for a single customer. This is a great fleet for drivers who love the open road and driving!
As a member of this fleet, you'll get weekly hometime, typically 34-48 hours.
What You'll Drive (Your Equipment)
In this fleet, you'll operate one of our very new trucks. Our fleet is about 24 months old or newer, and we have automatics, for drivers that want them. You'll pull van trailers with roll doors.
What You'll Haul
You'll have no-touch freight out of a distribution center based for a single customer. The appointment times are critical, so being on-time means that you'll meet the customer's needs, and you'll keep moving.
Where You'll Drive - Out and Back Runs
You'll have set, regular routes with no significant metro traffic. Freight will originate in the Rockford, Illinois area. There are a variety of interesting lanes, including western runs (lots of open roads). Because the routes are pre-planned and set in advance, you'll know the stores you'll deliver to (your tour) a week in advance.
The customer has twenty-seven locations in seven different states (Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and Wyoming).
Your pre-planned runs will have long lengths of haul and the runs will be largely out and back.
