2014-11-19 Roehl Transport earns Military Friendly Employer designation for second year

Marshfield, WI – For the second year in a row, Roehl Transport has earned the Military Friendly Employer® designation by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazines.

Everett Roehl started Roehl Transport in 1962, shortly after his military service ended. Now, military veteran employees of Roehl Transport receive recognition as a part of the Roehl Honor Program™. 

The Roehl Honor Program has a two-year Apprenticeship component (approved by both the Department of Labor and the Department of Veterans Affairs). Truck drivers that join Roehl Transport and take part in the Apprenticeship program earn certification as a Heavy Duty Truck Driver. Roehl completed a lengthy survey that resulted in a benchmark score across key programs and policies, such as the strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

The elite “Military Friendly Employer” title is awarded to companies after a data-driven survey of over 5,000 companies with resulting survey data independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP.

Now in its 12th year, Military Friendly Employers® media is the premier resource for transitioning service members and spouses seeking civilian employment. Each year companies taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Advisory Board consisting of leaders in the military recruitment community.
